A collection of six perennial, cottage garden favourites. They include early flowering varieties that flower in the spring, lasting right through until autumn. Every month your garden will be overflowing with colourful plants, which are easy to look after, excellent for attracting wildlife, and they will flower year after year.

Delphinium - Summer Skies
Beautiful sky-blue flower spikes that loom over the rest of the border. Ideal for back of border and cut flowers. A perfect pollinator variety, to attract a wealth of bees.
SOW INDOORS: from January to March for flowers from August to September. Sow seeds into fine, moist compost, only cover with a fine layer of compost. Germination can take 21-40 days. Transfer seedlings when strong enough to handle into trays, 8cm apart. Seedlings can be transplanted outdoors from April to May when ground is warmer, thinning to 50cm spacing. Expect blooms from July to October.
SOW OUTDOORS: for flowers from June to September in the second year, sow directly into flowerbed at a depth of 0.5cm and evenly spaced out.
Height 150cm. Spread: 60cm.

Foxglove - Digitalis Colour Mix
SOW INDOORS: from February, 0.5cm deep, in trays of fine, moist compost. Keep moist and place in warm environment to activate germination. Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days. Transplant seedlings, 5cm apart when large enough to handle. Gradually accustom young plants to outside before planting out in May when the ground is warmer, space out to 25-30cm.
SOW OUTDOORS: May to August, where they are to flower, 0.5cm deep, into finely-prepared soil, which has already been watered. Thin seedlings to 25cm apart.
Height 80cm. Spread: 30cm.

Lupin - Colour Mix
Intensely coloured, lightly fragrant flower spikes in classic shades, with masses of green foliage. A traditional cottage garden and cut flower perennial favourite.
SOW INDOORS: from March 0.6cm deep, in a tray of moist compost and place in a warm environment. Germination can take 14-60 days. Thin out to 5cm apart when large enough to handle and grow on. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions before planting out from May 45cm apart.
SOW OUTDOORS: direct into finely raked, moist soil from May to September when ground is warmer. Perennial flowers from May to July the following year.
Height 80cm. Spread: 45cm.

Poppy Oriental - Red Mixture
A hardy perennial variety, which will provide a stunning display of silk-like red blooms throughout the summer, year after year. A cottage garden and cut flower favourite.
SOW INDOORS: from February 0.5cm deep, in a tray of fine, moist compost and place in a warm environment. Germination can take 14-21 days. Transplant individually, when large enough to handle, to 7.5cm pots. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions, before planting out into well-drained soil, from March to July, 30cm apart.
SOW OUTDOORS: from April to July 0.5cm deep, into finely prepared, well-drained soil, which has already been watered. Thin seedlings to final spacing of 40cm by September.
Height 90cm. Spread: 40cm.

Elegant, lance-shaped deep green leaves and large daisy-like blooms in purple shades with prominent, centres perfect for pollinators in borders, pots and cut flowers.
